From The Office of the Laymen Auxiliary,
Greetings East Mississippi Baptist State Convention it is an honor to bring you greetings on behalf of
the Laymen Department. We pray this greeting finds you doing well and doing your best for the Lord
and His work. We give thanks to President Goodwin and East Mississippi Baptist State Convention for
letting us serve as your Laymen President. We find it challenging during these times to get men to serve
on a state level when our local men and district men are still shut down. But I do believe it’s time to get
all things up and going again.
So, I pray that God gives us the wisdom to put this body of servants back into action. We continue to
seek the prayers and support from every pastor and congregation of this convention. I greatly appreciate
everything you do to support the laymen. We want you to know that we are here if you need us whether
it be setting up a laymen group, information for a group, or just however we can help; we are willing.
Our Purpose
• To enlist and coordinate the manpower of the local congregation for an effective performance of
essential Christian activities.
• To cultivate the Christian life of the laymen through study, worship, fellowship, and service.
• To enlist un – churched men for fellowship in Christian service through the church and to bring
unsaved men into vital relations with God in Christ through personal commitment to Christ.
• To inspire the men of the church to support the total program of their church, their association,
its auxiliaries, and their state and national conventions.
