Grace and Peace!
To all Officers, Staff, Moderators, Pastors, Preachers, Delegates, friends and supporters of the East Mississippi Baptist State Convention, Inc., I greet each of you in the awesome, amazing, majestic, and magnificent name of Jesus Christ, our Kinsmen and Redeemer.
As we convene in our 130th session, our aim is to look to the future with renewed purpose. Our convention’s central theme is “Strengthening and Equipping the Local Church: Learning, Growing, and Evangelizing” and our focus will be on reimagining ministry for the 21st century as a call to address and confront heretical teachings that have infiltrated Christendom. We are committed to upholding the faith that has been entrusted to us and refusing to compromise its integrity. Let us express our gratitude to God for His faithfulness while also embracing the challenges ahead with optimism and determination. This is my earnest prayer for all of us.
We are blessed because our Convention will convene in Hattiesburg, Mississippi at the commodious Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 900-East 8th Street, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Rev. Carlos Wilson is the Host Pastor. The dates for our 2024 Annual Session will be Sunday, October 27, 2024, through Wednesday, October 30, 2024. I sincerely encourage you, especially all Pastors, Preachers, Church Leaders, and all of God’s people to make plans to attend our upcoming Annual Session. I hope you will encourage the members of your church family to attend and take part in the innovative plenary sessions and schedule of activities.
