ABOUT US The East Mississippi Baptist State Convention, Inc was organized in 1891 with the desire and purpose of performing both home and foreign mission, and for the fellowship, promulgation of the Gospel of Christ and general Christian educational programs for ministers, laymen, and youth. Since that time, we have continuously built upon the foundation that was laid before us. It is our prayer that as you navigate through this website you will be enlightened, enriched and enhanced about the great things that are happening within the East Mississippi Family. As we continuously tread this path that we are on, we are commissioned to continuously Look unto the hills from whence cometh our help, which comes from the Lord during these most critical and perilous times. Our Mission The East Mississippi Baptist State Convention of Mississippi is the collaboration and association of Missionary Baptist Churches in the State of Mississippi. The Convention strives to provide an avenue for Christian Missions, Education, Evangelism, Home Mission, Foreign Mission and Benevolence for the members of the various associations and churches. To unite and equip churches, ministries, associations, and constituents to do holistic ministry that propagate the Gospel, advances the Kingdom of God, and supports education and missions in East Mississippi and beyond. Our mission is to encourage ministry support and participation through partnerships state and national bodies and other like minded agencies that are ever expanding.
